Tavistock Tutors offer drum teachers at all levels, in the London area. The drum is the heartbeat of any band, in almost any genre of music. The names of famous drummers roll off the tongue of any music fan, Collins, Taylor and Watts to name just a few. They all make it look frighteningly easy. However, learning a musical instrument can both immensely rewarding and intensely frustrating all at the same time. Whether it is just a hobby you want to improve on, or your chosen career, Tavistock Tutors can help. This because we have gone the extra mile to find a wide range of music teachers to suit your needs.
All of our teachers are at the very least grade 8 in their given instrument. However, to teach music requires much more than that. For all their talent, the drummers mentioned above would probably not have made great teachers in their hay day. This is why Tavistock Tutors treat their music teachers the same way they treat all of their academic subject tutors. We interview every teacher to ensure that they have the passion for their musical instrument and for teaching, to go alongside their skills and qualifications.
Our consultants will always ask the right questions. This means that your teacher can accurately tailor your lessons to your needs, so that you make the progress you want from lesson one. If you are seeking just a working knowledge of the instrument, your lessons will have different aims to someone who wants to be the next Phil Collins.
All of our teachers have travelled the long road that is mastering a musical instrument, just as you are trying to do. This means that they can empathise with your problems, but more importantly pass on the hints and tips they have learned which can make all the difference. A book will show you one way to learn the drums but will not take into account the individual in the way a Tavistock Tutor will.
