Mentoring Tutors

Academic mentors prove to be valuable to any student, especially those starting their first year at an academic institution, as a source of support and advice. At Tavistock Tutors, we match students with the perfect mentor – an older student enrolled in the same institution and studying the same course who can provide guidance throughout the learning process.

This peer-to-peer relationship enables substantial academic and pastoral advantages. A mentor will ensure students are aware of campus resources and offer honest advice about the modules from a student’s perspective that the lecturers might not provide. This ‘insider-advice’ is vitally important for any new student at an institution – mentors know exactly what a course will be like because they’ve done it themselves.
