Sociology AS and A-Level tuition

Students of all abilities who live in all areas of London can profit from our sociology AS and A-level tuition. Our experienced and qualified tutors offer private tuition to help with the new AS and A-level sociology specification, which was introduced in September 2015 by exam boards such as AQA, OCR and WJEC. We also provide lessons for students studying the old AS and A-level exam specification, who started their course before September 2015.

Sociology is an engaging subject which covers such diverse topics as crime, war, law, religion, social class, wealth, race, gender, culture and romantic love. It gives students a fascinating insight into the reasons behind the ways we behave, using evidence, analysis and critical-thinking. Our tutors are here to offer assistance in all aspects of the sociology AS and A-level course, including contemporary social processes, social change, methodology, and theoretical and conceptual issues.

Our sociology team can provide a wide range of courses to suit your needs. Whether you are looking for a short-term course to quickly improve exam results, or a long-term course to help with specific difficulties, our tutors are on-call 365 days a year, so we can find the right tutor for you.

Tuition for the new AS and A-Level syllabus

As well as for the pre-2015 syllabus, our tutors can prepare students for the new AS and A-level sociology syllabus. This encompasses examinations by all exam boards, including AQA, OCR and WJEC.

The new sociology AS and A-level course, adopted in 2015, focusses on teaching students the nature of sociological thought, methods of sociological enquiry and the collection, interpretation and presentation of evidence. Students are encouraged to identify social trends, evaluate different arguments and theories and interpret data and evidence. Our tutors can help with all aspects of the syllabus. We start by evaluating each student’s individual abilities and identifying and focusing on the areas which they find most challenging. Adapting each lesson to the individual student’s personal needs provides fast results, and our students always show immediate improvement.

Since the abolition of retakes and the decoupling of AS and A-levels, A-level exams are now more important than ever. Our tutors will help your child deal with the stress of exams in a fun and productive atmosphere.

Qualified and experienced sociology tutors

Our sociology team includes graduates from the best UK universities, including Oxford, Cambridge, LSE and UCL. All of our tutors are hired for their qualifications, expertise, extensive tutoring experience, and passion for teaching. They are dedicated and enthusiastic tutors, who enjoy sharing their knowledge about all aspects of social behaviour. Sociology is a particularly engaging subject, and our tutors convey this in their lessons by providing fun and entertaining tuition, which helps students learn quickly and efficiently.
