Having been taught in tutorials in Oxford I have a good sense of what makes a successful lesson. I believe that tutorials should be shaped around a student’s needs and learning style in order to make the subject accessible to them. For this reason I endeavour to use written and visual materials that can bring the lesson alive.
Engaging and motivating my students in this way makes them aspire to obtain higher grades. To further ensure success in exams and assessments I shape my teaching around the course syllabus and offer advice and experience on exam technique and essay writing.
I have experience teaching children in a classroom setting both in the Middle East and at Oxford Summer Schools for 16-18 year-olds. I have also regularly conducted workshops and seminars for groups of all ages.
In addition to my teaching experience, I have also have a longstanding engagement in politics. I have worked in a number of important political institutions, including in the UK Parliament and the United Nations in the Middle East.
