Tuition for the new Psychology AS and A-Level syllabus
In 2015, AS and A-levels replaced the old AS/A2 system in a number of subjects, including Psychology. Exams are now decoupled, so the results for AS exams do not have any effect of A-level exam results. There will no longer be exams in January, and there will be no more modules. Exams have more of an impact on results, with coursework used only to examine specific aspects of the course. Universities were consulted in the new design and content of the exams and courses. Tavistock Tutors is fully prepared for this transition. Many of our tutors have prior experience in exam layout and can help your child navigate the new setup with top-notch tips and tricks to do their best. We are completely up-to-date on the new curriculum, although we do still offer our services in the AS/A2 exam scheme until they are discontinued.
Tuition for Psychology AS and A-Level
Psychology involves a lot of critical evaluation and analysis, and students will need to develop mathematical and scientific writing skills. Our qualified tutors provide enthusiastic and expert tuition on how to write the perfect essays, how to learn effectively, and how to best revise. They aim not just to teach facts, but teach your child how to learn, how to develop their thought process that will lead them to the answers. The sessions are interactive and enjoyable, which is the best way to learn. They’re experienced, having tutored in places like Harvard, Oxford, and Cambridge, and they work with your child to figure out his or her studying needs, to find out what may be holding them back from their full potential. Many are experienced tutors with hundreds of hours of experience, with dyspraxic, dyslexic, and other SEN students. When the time comes to sit the exam, your child will be completely confident in their own abilities, and ready to demonstrate their knowledge and comprehension. Our tutors know how to allow for the small differences in each exam board, meaning your child will have a plan specific to their circumstances.
