I believe that every person is unique and has their own way of understanding and interpreting the world. My style of tutoring is person-centred in every sense, and I take time to build a working relationship with my student in order for us to work together collaboratively. No lesson should feel boring or dry, and I work alongside students to use their own strengths and interests to bring subjects to life! I welcome open communication and I encourage regular check-ins to review how the sessions are going and to see if there is anything the student would like to change.
Hi! I am currently studying for my Psychology doctorate and I am also a part-time tutor. As part of my previous roles in NHS and Private healthcare, I have helped children and young people with a variety of subjects and Key Stage levels, and with a range of needs such as learning difficulties and neurodevelopmental conditions.
I have been Team Leader in a children’s camp, being responsible for a large group of 5-6 year olds. Here, I gained experience of assisting children with 11+ Prep and have worked collaboratively with children to increase their knowledge, skills and confidence with the 11+ exams.
My specialist subject being Psychology, I have also helped young people with GCSE and A-level Psychology in line with the AQA exam board. Depending on the young person’s aspirations for after school, I am in a unique position to offer insights and context into the industry at career level if relevant.
