Art and Design A-Level Tutors
Art & Design AS and A-Level Tutors
Tavistock Tutors is a one of a kind tutoring programme, providing tutoring in Art & Design AS and A-levels in London. We cater to all exam boards, meaning the tutors can create a plan specific to each one, accounting for the minor differences in each. Our tutors are exceptional — passionate about their subject, experienced in academia and in practical careers. They’ve graduated from some of the top art Universities in the country, like the Camberwell College of Arts and University of the Art in London. Most have qualifications in teaching, and some even have experience as qualified examiners for Universities like Cambridge, so they know the ins and outs of exam technique. They can care for any kind of student, having experience with Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, and other SEN students. No matter if your child needs a comprehensive overview of the course, or an in-depth look at a particular area, our Tavistock Tutors can cover it. By the time the exam rolls around, you and your child can rest assured in the knowledge that your child has developed his or her full potential under careful tuition.
New Art & Design AS and A-Levels
2015 marks the beginning of a new form of examination across all subjects. Starting in 2015, the new Art & Design AS and A-levels will be taught, with the first release of AS results issued the summer of 2016, and A-level results issued in the summer of 2017. What does this mean for your child? Now, assessment is done mostly by examination — other types of assessment are for when key skills are looked at. Additionally, there are no longer modules, and no more exams in January. AS assessments will instead be after a full year of study, and A-levels after two years. Crucially, the AS marks no longer count towards A-level results. Finally, universities now play a bigger part than ever in the content design of the new qualifications. Tavistock Tutors is fully prepared for this change, offering tutoring in these new qualifications. However we will of course still be able to offer full tutoring services for A2 and the old A-level qualifications until they are entirely discontinued in 2016 and 2017.

At Tavistock Tutors, our tutors pride themselves on their engaging, innovative, hands-on approach to tutoring students. Lessons can be conducted in the classroom, but also in museums and art galleries! Our tutors’ professional experience shows itself in how they encourage your child to see Art & Design in a brand new light. They will show your child how to annotate like a pro, how to analyse and compare artwork from contemporary and historic artists, and how to best showcase their knowledge and ability in a variety of methods. No matter what the stumbling block to your child’s learning, our tutors can overcome it without a hitch. Learning should be as easy and natural as breathing, and our tutors aim to make it a joy to learn again.
