My Passion & How I Inspire

I think the key to learning R is building cool things from the very beginning. Once you see what you will be capable of creating if you keep on learning, you are never going to stop.

I take a very practical approach to teaching. I believe the best way to learn is by doing and experimenting, rather than concentrating on theory at the beginning. Starting hands-on with R will build up motivation and curiosity, and you will eventually warm up to theory once you gained a bit of experience and you will notice how much it helps your work .

My Experience

I'm an Interim Data Scientist at the Royal Opera House, previously working in Digital Analytics.

During my work, I provide data driven insight to my colleagues and managers. I work closely with multiple departments within the organisation, each with different needs and a differing level of knowledge on analytic and statistical techniques.

It's my aim to answer their business questions and test their hypotheses using data science tools and explain my findings to them in a simple, clear and concise way.

I answer any questions they have, simplifying or elaborating concepts based on individual need. I always aim to give an intuitive understanding of the data and the techniques used to draw conclusions.

Fun fact

I think most clearly when I'm writing all of my thoughts down, this way they will stay in one place.
