My Passion & How I Inspire

Throughout the years, I have developed a very personal approach to my students. I believe that new knowledge should be delivered in an interactive way and ‘layered’ so that the student first understands the foundations of what is about to be taught before going into any more detail. This way, the student often feels satisfaction before moving on to the next stage, but increased richness of encoding this new information also provides them with more cues by which they can recall the newly learnt information.

Indeed, sometimes memorising facts is unavoidable especially in science subjects. However, in those cases, I like to use technology to make such learning more interactive, such as on-line quizzes that measure one’s progress. I also give my students brief notes from each of our sessions to serve as a reminder of what we go through.

My Experience

I have worked as a tutor for over 5 years now, helping over 50 students, studying at different levels, reach their full potential. My main focus is the sciences, such as chemistry and biology but I have also helped undergraduate students both with their understanding of taught material, as well as providing advice with dissertation writing.
