I look to make students feel comfortable and relaxed in my presence, to break down the assumption that I might be there to assess them and instead to build up a rapport based on trust and enjoyment. I am keenly aware, however, that there is no single approach to positive private tuition. My aim is, through open and honest dialogue with both students and their families, to find out each individual’s specific needs or targets; whether this is achieving a passing grade or stepping up their level of engagement and knowledge to gain a place at a top university.
I have training and experience in one-on-one tutoring in creative writing.

My family moved around a great deal when I was growing up; I spent much of my early childhood and adolescence in central Europe: Bratislava (in Slovakia), followed by Budapest, Hungary!
