My Passion & How I Inspire

I like to set a goal for each lesson and share the goal with my students at the beginning of the lesson. The students thus know what they are trying to achieve and can also judge whether or not they have achieved it by the end of lesson (if not, they know the areas they need to work on).

I also avoid lecturing my students at all costs, instead encouraging them to solve problems by themselves. I like to give my students time and space to talk, whilst guiding them with short and straightforward questions. This is far more fulfilling both for them and for me: they are proud, satisfied and more confident because they found the answer alone; I am also more satisfied because I know that they have truly understood the problem or new concept.

My Video Introduction

Fun fact

I am English, but grew up in France. I really like France and everything French: French cheese, French bread, French wine, French history, French literature, as well as running and cycling in France… and teaching French!
