My Passion & How I Inspire

With private tuition, it is important to take the student through the required syllabus without stepping on the toes of their teacher at school. There is little to be gained from taking a student through an exercise only for him to do it as homework a week later. This means, for example, avoiding the use of their class textbooks in order to create a fresh and supplementary experience for the tutee.

One of the true benefits of private tuition for the student is having an experience relevant not just their subject but to them as an individual and I do my best to work with that in mind. For example a 13+ Latin student I had loved drawing and so we used this to help learn about the Greek Myths for the essay question by making comic strips.

My Experience

Three years tutoring Latin and Greek 13+ and GCSE, both independently and through agencies such as Tavistock Tutors.
