My Passion & How I Inspire

I believe that tuition shouldn’t feel like another lesson. In this vain, I focus on using a range of engaging activities to allow my students to develop a real love and understanding of the subject. However, the first step is to identify the issues and concerns the student is experiencing and create a tailor-made plan for that student – one size does not fit all! Each lesson will be individual to the student to ensure they can make real progress. Building confidence is the key to success in English, and this is my aim throughout all of my teaching.

My Experience

I have been a secondary school English teacher since 2013, teaching in a large comprehensive in East London, rated ‘outstanding’ by OFSTED, and am currently teaching at an all-girls private school. As a teacher, I have taught a range of units at both Key Stage 3 and 4 and have excellent knowledge of the new AQA specifications as well as EDEXCEL. At Key Stage 5 I have taught English Literature under the AQA exam board and am well versed in the requirements of the coursework aspect of this course.
