My Passion & How I Inspire

I vividly remember visiting the Science Museum with my Dad when I was growing up and staring up at the huge model of the Lunar Lander. I then started really enjoying Science at school when I realised that brilliant stories such as landing on the moon, discovering penicillin, or even the battle over the discovery of calculus, all came about through science, logic and calculation.

I then found that as I explained things to other people, my understanding of the subjects deepened. Moreover, seeing students getting excited about science, and succeeding in it was brilliant, so I started tutoring.

I try to bring that interest in the subject into my lessons. I hope that when the students see how fascinated I am in the little details, in beautiful equations, fascinating graphs, surprising results, they too will start to take interest in the same things.

My Experience

I have been tutoring since January 2019 and have loved every minute of it, working with secondary school students ranging from Year 7 to Year 13 for Maths and Science up to GCSE and Maths and Physics at A-Level. I have helped students get the grades they need to study what they want at Sixth Form and at University, and I have helped students rediscover an interest in Maths and Science. I have even worked with an undergraduate student to help him catch up with his Python coursework and get it submitted on time. On top of my tutoring I also run several after school clubs and holiday camps on the themes of Games, Coding and Robotics, so have had plenty of experience in working with children of all ages.
