“I can honestly say that Uriel transformed my son’s understanding of the English literature syllabus at A Level. He helped him grasp the structure and content of the books , the mark scheme and he ended up with a staggering full marks in his exam paper. We were not expecting him to do so well and I credit Uriel with transforming his performance.”

My Passion And How I Inspire

In all subjects, I encourage active involvement, and aim to make the process as enjoyable as possible. Private tuition is a unique opportunity to benefit from a one on one learning environment, a form of learning that should be enjoyable, challenging and help a student develop a passion for their subject. It is important to create a positive learning environment that helps motivate a student, and indeed instils self motivation.

For English tuition at levels preceding GCSE, tuition in reading comprehension is aimed at cementing essay writing skills similar to those that will be required of them at examination level. Ahead of an initial session I ask for an example of a pupil’s recent written work; this is done so as to become familiar with their current level of skill and to enable a plan of study tailored to each individual student. The first session of study will be split between looking at this piece of work and discussing the aims of the course of private tuition with both student and parents.
