With two degrees in Engineering and over 4 years of industrial experience I have developed an approach of teaching mathematics and sciences by filling up my lessons with real life examples and engine parts. With the experience I have, I consider myself as the person who has the capability to convince a student that Mathematics and Science can be interesting. I specialise in GCSE and A Levels mathematics and Science with over 30 students all of which have a success story to tell. I have a three point approach towards teaching, building a relationship with the pupil, developing an interest in the subject and then keeping them engaged in the topic by sharing the importance of what they are studying. I believe part of the tutor’s job is to improve the results, whilst inducing a long lasting love for the subject they teach, I do just that. I have taught 11+ students to final year University students and believe every student has what it takes to excel, they all they require is a push to lift off.
I have been working as an Aerospace Engineer for the past three years working on high temperature super alloys for Jet Engines. In the past five years I have accumulated over 500 hours of private tutoring experience, teaching more than 50 students all over Central and West London. I have taught Science and Mathematics to 11+ and have extensive experience in Science and Mathematics at GCSE and A Levels. I have taught different exam boards including Edexcel, OCR AQA and WJEC.
Currently I am tutoring four students Science and Mathematics at GCSE and A Levels. As a Visiting Researcher, at University College London, I teach Mathematics and Mechanics to third year B.Eng students. I am supervising two MSc Mechanical Engineering students in their dissertations. I am involved in checking papers and marking assignments at UCL. I have prepared students for GRE and SAT mathematics.
