I have tutored GCSE Computer Science to UK students both focusing on theory and programming/algorithms. This has been with both Edexcel and OCR exam boards, however, I am also more than able to teach all mainstream exam boards. I have also taught as programming (beginner Java) to undergraduates struggling with compulsory modules.
Recently I have been helping mentor students 1-on-1 and tailor CVs for undergraduates looking for finance internships in top international firms.
I am also a fully qualified Ski instructor with 3 months training in teaching methods specific to children and young adults.

My Passion And How I Inspire
As a passionate Skier, I trained as a ski instructor in 2017. During this time I realised how rewarding it was to be able to share something you love.
My real passion, however, is computer science and technology. Having seen first hand what a difference having a tutor can do for both technical ability and subject confidence, it was only natural that tutoring was something I was drawn to.
In such a technical subject, one of the key things that needs to be carefully cultivated is confidence. Programming, in particular, is an area where getting things wrong to get them right is almost always the case. When starting out this can be a bit of a shock. By building an understanding from the ground up, my students are able to work out what techniques work for them and enable them to experiment outside of sessions productively.

I love endurance sports and am currently (slowly!) training up towards an Ironman.
