My Passion & How I Inspire

My approach to private tuition involves identifying the needs of each individual student, highlighting any problem areas and then coming up with a plan to tackle these problems. I do this by making maths as relevant as possible, drawing on examples of why maths is useful in real life and not just something to learn for exams. Working through a range of problems will improve confidence in each topic and having both interest and confidence in a subject will inevitably lead to better results. Those results will then instil further confidence in a student and the cycle continues. My job as a tutor is not to spoon feed students the answers, but to help them realise that they can do it themselves.

My Experience

I have worked with Frome College, Clarendon Academy and Ralph Allen School in tutoring students in KS3 and GCSE Maths. I tutored in collaboration with teachers to help students with topics they found difficult, especially in the lead-up to exams. I am familiar with Edexcel and OCR exam boards.

My Video Introduction

Fun fact

When I was young, I got the chance to play violin in front of the Queen. However, I very nearly missed out on this opportunity by forgetting my bow on the day of the performance. Luckily, I managed to borrow one from somebody else!
