My Passion & How I Inspire

I have greatly enjoyed tutoring students of different abilities and backgrounds, across a range of scientific subjects.

I first got into tutoring as I found it interesting and enjoyable to explain concepts to those who found it challenging. It was very rewarding and it was useful to go through material with someone (i.e. myself) who had been in a similar position not too long ago.

My approach includes ensuring that my students are confident with the syllabus, and teaching them how to excel in their exams. I believe everyone can have excellent outcomes and I enjoy working with students to help them realise their talents.

My Experience

Chemistry:

-Tutored students at Whitgift School struggling with GCSE material

-One-to-one sessions with students for A-level and undergraduate work

Physics: GCSE tutoring. Internal exam scores subsequently improved.

Maths and Maths for Natural Sciences: A-level to first year undergraduate level.

Oxbridge admissions:

-Personal statement review for international students

-Conducted mock interviews for students interviewing at Oxbridge

-Created tutorial materials for students preparing to take the Natural Sciences Admissions Assessment

Year 5 Science tutoring: teaching home-schooled student whilst family is away from the UK
