My Passion & How I Inspire

I have an individualised approach to my clients’ learning, which is carefully tailored to their objectives, interests and the way in which they learn. I encourage my clients to be curious and think around their subject, whilst adhering to the syllabus. It is hard to learn unless the content of your subject is able to engross you, so finding a way to make the subject relevant and exciting to the student is one of my primary objectives as a tutor.

If I am working with small children, I ask questions to ensure that they understand what they are learning, while also making it interesting and fun for them. With young children, I integrate arts into our lessons, as it is an important tool for them to express themselves, while also ensuring that they are engaged.

My Experience

I am a private tutor offering tuition to children from 5 – 18. My past tutoring experience is diverse and ranges from teaching young children to read and write, to building History of Art museum programs for adults. Having worked for art galleries in London, I am passionate about art and have found creative activities are a great tool to unlock the potential of young children (4 – 6), especially when they are learning to read and write. As a trainee psychotherapist with past experience as a support worker to troubled teens, I am also well placed to assist children and adolescents that struggle to stay motivated in school.

Past tutoring work includes:

Tutoring two fourteen year olds English in preparation to transition back into the English education system from the French system. March 2016 - present

Teaching an English child to read and write (aged 6), Monaco, March 2016 - current

Tutoring two Italian children (ages 4 & 6) English and running arts activities, La Turbie, January 2016 – current
