My Passion & How I Inspire

I realised that Physics was the subject for me after I didn't choose it at A-level... taking Chemistry and Biology made me realise that the bits I enjoyed from both were actually Physics!

The school experience is never straightforward - relationship with the teacher, low grades in a test etc. can shake a student's confidence and blind them to their potential. I enjoy working with students to help them to overcome these challenges and to make sure that their goals are realised in the classroom - whether that is getting a student over the line for a pass or for a top grade.

My lesson plans are designed to enthuse students about the subject, approaching the syllabus from different angles and with a more individually-tailored approach afforded for smaller groups outside of the classroom.

My Experience

I took charge of Maths, Science and D&T lessons for years 9-11 in a large secondary school last year, alongside tutoring smaller groups in A-level Maths. My role evolved to running large revision classes after school to support an academic year that had struggled with inconsistent teaching in their core science.

I have planned and delivered 3-hour lessons to large groups of students aiming to pass English Language and Maths GCSE at resit. I delivered and marked the coursework module for English Language.

I have several years of experience tutoring privately alongside my studies, specialising in science and maths for clients ages 11-16.
