My Passion & How I Inspire

From my tutoring experience, and having used tutors myself, I understand the importance of breaking content into digestible and enjoyable segments. I will utilise a wealth of learning techniques to make the content fun and will share my top revision tips. For older students, I focus on honing examination technique, whilst endeavouring to instil a love for detail and analysis amongst all. I’m a supportive and enthusiastic person and strive to perfect a teaching style that caters specifically to each student’s needs. Ultimately, I aim to share a passion for learning and foster my students’ confidence so that they can become independent thinkers. My philosophy is there is no such thing as a stupid question!

My Experience

During my year abroad – a compulsory part of my degree – I was selected as an English Language Teaching Assistant for the British Council and worked as a teacher in a primary school in Paris for 8 months. I prepared and taught English lessons for 14 classes a week, working with students between the ages of 4 and 12. The teachers recommended me to parents at the school who approached me for private English tuition for their children at home. I tutored six students a week between the ages of 8 and 16, and found it incredibly fulfilling watching their progress. I have also tutored family and friends on an informal basis for their GCSEs, A levels, personal statements, university applications and law firm applications.
