My Passion & How I Inspire

I love tutoring. My first pupil – who hated Milton, Shakespeare and Charlotte Bronte – grew to love them and got an A. Since then I have found it immensely rewarding to share my love of the subject and see students do well. We concentrate on the text first and then move to structure, nailing that essay plan and writing cleanly and with authority.

Every student is different and has a different ability and I am so pleased they enjoy our sessions and achieve the results they hope for.

With History of Art we start with looking at the pictures. The rest follows.

My Experience

I have been tutoring since 2014, both privately and several days a week at Collingham Independent Sixth Form College in Central London.  At Collingham I’ve worked with small groups and individuals for retakes or one year and two year courses for the OCR, EdExcel and AQA boards.  It’s very rewarding to see my students do well.

Fun fact

My first job was as director’s assistant on a movie for Columbia Pictures, shot in Toronto.  It flopped (!) but it was a great experience just the same.
