My Passion & How I Inspire

I believe that private tutoring is a very personal thing, and as such study methods and approaches need to be altered per student. My primary aim is to enable students to truly enjoy the subjects they study, whether that involves teaching through hands on examples or practicing past papers. I feel that students need to be able to relate to the material, and that it the key to improved performance as well as academic confidence.

I believe that my strongest asset as a tutor is not only my knowledge of the material but the ability to understand the needs as well as strengths and weaknesses of each individual student prior to the creation of customized lesson plans.

My Experience

I have been tutoring both professionally and within my school/university from the past eight years beginning with the peer mentoring program at my high school, this position was a peer to peer tutoring program which allowed students to tutor other students both in their year and lower classes, in subjects they scored particularly well in. I tutored Economics, Business and Management as well as English.

Furthermore, I was a PAL Mentor during my 2nd and 3rd year at Goldsmiths, which entailed tutoring and assisting 1st year undergraduate students with their academic work, as well as assisting them with the transition from high school to university learning.

I have previously held private tutoring sessions in ACT English, IB Economics, A level Business Studies, Undergraduate Finance, Undergraduate English, GCSE Math, 11+ Exams, among several other subjects.
