My Passion & How I Inspire

I have always been passionate about literature and language, but my drive and passion was fostered by a handful of incredible teachers I was lucky enough to have at school. In their lessons I figured out that studying English is not just about discussing specific novels, plays or poems. It's about learning to see between the lines. It's about finding the words to navigate complex ideas, and it's about figuring out the most persuasive and convincing ways to express how you feel.

These skills thread through everything in life and are absolutely invaluable. I am really grateful to the school teachers and university professors that inspired my love and appreciation for learning, and I like to think that I bring a similar energy to all my tutorials

My Experience

I am an Oxford and KCL graduate with three years tutoring experience. I pride myself in being really approachable and friendly, while also motivating my students to achieve as much as possible in the time we spend together. I get a huge amount of satisfaction watching a student improve and develop what we do together into independent confidence.

I work with a broad range of clients from Common Entrance candidates to A-Level students. My clients have consistently gained entry into their top choice school. Recent examples include King's College School and City of London School. In the most recent round of public examinations tutees of mine scored a 9 in IGCSE English Literature and full marks in the 13+ English Common Entrance exam.

Fun fact

Once I made a very cringeworthy music video for charity and Shakira said she loved it.
