My approach to teaching is very much student led. I focus on understanding the strengths and areas of comfort of the tutee and use those to help the student overcome learning challenges. A number of times, I find real-life scenarios help put the topic in perspective.
The stop and review tool is used sometimes to facilitate active learning as it allows the tutee to be more engaged in their development, making it easier to identify further needs.
