My experience as a professional teacher means that I have a very wide range of resources to draw upon in my teaching. I am well versed in pedagogical strategies and as a tutor I am able to make my teaching individually tailored to each client. I am fully aware of examination requirements and techniques that can be used by students in order to achieve their best results. My focus is on making the subject matter clear and allowing my students to apply their knowledge to gain confidence. I also hope to be able to allow them to enjoy the language in a more focused setting of one-on-one tuition and introduce them to interesting cultural knowledge and authentic materials.
My Experience
I am a fully qualified languages teacher with a passion for education. I trained as teacher at the University of Cambridge after completing my PhD in French literature. I currently work in an independent girls school teaching French and Spanish. I have worked for 3 years as a private tutor in London where I taught Italian and French. My students all achieved A* in their GCSE exams. I have been an English tutor for 6 months whilst I was studying at the Sorbonne in Paris as part of my undergraduate degree.
