I am very approachable and patient and would tailor my teaching style to suit each student. As I have an international background (growing up in the UK, Germany and Russia) I am able to get along with a wide range of students.
I believe that every student has the potential to flourish in their classes and this can result in long term academic success if encouraged to explore and be curious about the topics they are studying.
As you can probably tell, I`ve always been interested in furthering my education and love learning. Over the years I`ve become more and more involved with teaching as I would like to pass on my enthusiasm for studying and have taught BSc, MSc and PhD students. I am currently working towards achieving an Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy. I also like to teach school age levels as it is important for me to motivate further science education. I am experienced in teaching GCSEs and A Levels for different exam boards.
I also have experience teaching the younger years and supporting them with their Key Stage 1,2 and 3 homework and have helped students prepare for 11+ exams.
I am currently studying Graduate Entry Medicine at Imperial College London. I have a PhD in vaccine development from Imperial College London and have also completed an MSc in Immunology and a BSc in Biological Sciences with Honours in Infectious Diseases.
My party trick is that I can whistle just like a (small) bird!
