My Passion & How I Inspire

My approach to tuition is based on understanding the pupil. Having suffered from a debilitating condition from the age of 16 years, which impacted on my own studying, I am particularly aware of the need for different approaches to study and the importance of inspiring young minds. Studying should always have the 'wow' factor but equally important is the need for structure and personal discipline. I bring these factors together to provide a personalised experience for each student which increases their confidence in both themselves and their ability. I have found that this is the key to progress - the progress of my students.

My Experience

I have taught science and maths in a number of schools, invigilated during exams, tutored small groups and individual students. At primary school level I have tutored individual students for maths SATs exams, for 11+ exams, and in preparation for secondary school. I have also tutored maths, physics, chemistry and biology at Key Stage 3 and at GCSE level; and physics at A-Level and for the IB.
