My Passion & How I Inspire

As a tutor I hope to share my enthusiasm and passion for Geography, but firstly and more importantly establish what are the student's needs. Everyone is different, and there’s no one size fits all to how we learn. In each session I encourage the student to talk openly about what they do and don’t like, and what they’re good at or struggling with. From that we can build a set of goals and focus on how they can improve.

Above all it has to be engaging and fun! So I encourage students to ask questions and think critically about what they’re learning. Geography is a subject for which there are always lots of real world examples, by going through case-studies I hope to give students the confidence to apply a practical and theoretical approach that is so key to the discipline.

My Experience

I’ve taught large groups and individual students outside the UK and also acted as an academic mentor for students in their first year of university.
