My Passion & How I Inspire

I was inspired to become a teacher of History by my A level college teacher. I am inspired to tutor by the feedback i have received from students and parents. I inspire my students by giving clear guidelines as to how they can improve by giving them quality materials and by being patient if they are finding my subject challenging. I also have a sense of humour!

My Experience

I have taught in state schools public schools and sixth for colleges since my PGCE year (1975). i was a Fulbright scholar in California in 1981 to 1982 teaching in a high school. I have tutored A level and GCSE history for most of that time covering history syllabuses from the AQA, EDEXCEL, and OCR exam boards. I have worked in that time for a number of different tuition agencies with great success. I have also run revision courses in History.

My Qualifications

I went to Stowe public school. I graduated from the University of London with a 2/2 BA Honours degree in History. I got my PGCE from the institute of Education, London University.

Fun fact

I paid five shillings to see the Beatles at a concert in Stowe School!
