My Passion & How I Inspire

My approach to tutoring is influenced by a real passion for sharing my knowledge with others. It is my aim as a tutor to give my students the confidence and skills to tackle the tasks they have been set. My teaching style includes creating a positive learning environment. I have always found students thrive when they are taught to go beyond the curriculum. I do subject specific research and bring extra materials in order to deepen their understanding of the curriculum as well as giving a student further reading if necessary.

My Experience

I am confident in teaching English, Latin, Spanish, History (both ancient and modern), and Art and Archaeology up to A-Level standard. I have experience teaching students from the age of 7 to 18. My experience includes working as a teaching assistant at Woodside primary school assisting Year 5 students with English Literature and reading. I have also worked with Oxbridge Academy Courses, mentoring ambitious students aiming to get into Oxbridge by reading through personal statements, running practice interviews and mock supervisions. Working with students of different ages and all capabilities, means that encouragement and enthusiasm are essential to my teaching style.
