My Passion & How I Inspire

My approach toward private tutoring is to be understanding and tailor my sessions to each of my students. I believe this is best done by building a supportive and trusting relationship with my students and their parents. This helps me to recognise what kind of learner the student is and what specific needs they have. In turn, this will allow me to ensure that my sessions are engaging, and students are actively working towards their goals.

My Experience

I have experience tutoring a range of students from a variety of age groups, both privately and within school. I also have extensive experience of working with students with special needs, specifically Autism.

Similarly, during my time at University, I was a peer mentor for 2 years for students in their first and second year, providing academic support for Law exams and assignments, and encouraging motivation.

Some examples include:

One-to-one sessions with a year 12 student with a strong focus on essay writing, exam practice and technique

Planned and delivered a small group revision session for GCSE Psychology students in year 10, teaching key studies and concepts

Worked with year 13 students helping them research University options and writing their personal statement

Fun fact

I have two cats that I rehomed as they were strays when I found them- one turned up at my front door and the other at my back door. Strangest thing is they both look alike!
