My Passion & How I Inspire

When I first start working with a new client I make sure I have a firm understanding about the needs and concerns of the tutee and the tutee's parents or guardians and structure my lessons accordingly. What gaps need to be filled? What areas can I expand upon that the tutee might not have had the time to focus on at school? Are there any overarching problems that need addressing? Taking these questions into consideration I always make sure am complementing rather than contradicting what is taught at school.

Throughout my sessions I remain considerate and understanding, maintaining a firm belief that any problems with work can be overcome with perseverance. I aim to lead fun as well as engaging sessions. The last thing I want is for my tutee to feel disengaged and I try hard to keep them excited and enlivened throughout. This might mean shaking things up and trying new ways of working if needs be.

My sessions are brilliant opportunities to delve further into aspects of work that might have been missed in the classroom, to extend a tutee's knowledge in something that he or she is particularly interested in, to help with examination preparation and also to hopefully inspire and have fun.
