My Passion & How I Inspire

I have always taken an interest in business, setting up an eBay store at a young age and this inspired me to study business at GCSE, which I had a natural flare for and loved learning about. I continued business on to A-level and also undertook two business modules during my law degree at Durham.

I have thoroughly enjoyed tutoring business studies over the last six years and seeing students achieve their full potential and fall in love with the subject, like I did.

I also have been tutored myself from a young age, and was fortunate enough to be taught by some very inspiring and motivating tutors, which is something I also strive to deliver in my lessons. I think it is important to go above and beyond for each of my students because GCSEs and A-levels are such a critical stage in a child's life when they are deciding their future, and I try to be as encouraging and positive in my lessons to inspire my students, in addition to providing honest and practical advice.

I really enjoy working with students and keeping them engaged in lessons by making them as interactive as possible.

My Experience

I have been tutoring for six years and have over 450 hours teaching experience both online and residentially. I have undertake residential placements in places such as Monaco, London and Bedford helping students achieve their full potential.

I also have successfully tutored students applying to schools such as Harrow and Stowe, focusing on interview technique and the written papers.

My Qualifications

I studied law at Durham university achieving a 2:1 (67%) and I am now in my third year of studying medicine at Queen's University, Belfast.

I have a strong academic record at GCSE and A-level, achieving 8 A*s and 3 As at GCSE, placing third in Northern Ireland in Business studies (against over 3000 students) and coming first in my year at business studies and Spanish, and second in English Language.

I achieved 2A*s and 3As at A-level (and another A at AS level), in chemistry, business studies, Spanish, religion, maths and biology respectively.

I was the rowing secretary and drama treasurer during my time at Durham University.

Fun fact

I was an extra in season 2 and 8 of Game of Thrones!
