Often, chemistry, physics or maths can be a student’s least favourite subject. As a tutor, it is my job to share my passion for these subjects with my students. I believe it’s important to be able to get the pupil interested in the subject, so that way they will get the most out of the lesson.
Throughout their life, people can still remember their favourite subject in school; this is often due to a great teacher. This is why being passionate about your subject is so important. It helps the student gain an interest in the subject, leading to improved performance in both school and exams.
At the same time, a tutor must have the ability to be patient and listen attentively because, as a tutor, it is vital that you know where the pupil is having difficulties and help them accordingly.
