As an individual, I am enthusiastic, determined and a real āpeople personā. Having sat exams every year for the past 8 years, and continuing to do so I feel I am immersed in the challenges of modern academia and this will serve as a real advantage in my approach to my tutees. I think different approaches are required depending on the subject and level so should be adapted accordingly.
More specifically, for younger students, I believe that a teaching approach should be about instilling confidence through learning, to ensure that students become enthusiastic and content with developing in a subject that they have found challenging before private tuition.
Languages and Arts, I believe asserting a real energy into learning to ensure that tutees have a long lasting understanding of the language skills they gain.
Law ā To work with my tutees in a way that allows them to feel confident for exams. This might be achieved in different ways for different people but there would generally be a big emphasis on mastering exam technique due to the heavy emphasis on the final result, which will have a huge bearing on an individualās career progression.
I have several years experience as a private tutor, receiving excellent feedback for my subjects, from every student and parent. I have tutored many students with age ranging between six to thirty four with a variety of backgrounds and capability. I have tutored students online, in public spaces (such as cafĆ©s and libraries) and in a studentās home both in the UK and internationally.
