I focus on tailoring lessons and teaching methods to the individual student. I ensure that my lesson plans have a flexible structure, so that each lesson can be adapted to suit not only the student’s particular learning technique, but his/her needs on that particular day.
I strongly believe that having a love for the subject, and learning itself, is key to success. I nurture a love for the subject in my students by engaging the student through interactive exercises, conversation, and debate.
I also believe that testing is an important part of improvement, and written or spoken tests form a part of all of my lessons. This allows me to monitor a student’s progress closely, and to identify any weaknesses. I like to give feedback to parents at the end of each lesson, so that they are informed of what is being covered in the lesson and how their child is progressing.
