I believe that Practice Makes Perfect! However, repeated and regular exercise is just a waste of time without an efficient and effective studying method, especially for maths! My class is exercise-based, with many useful methods and tricks that you never realize before. e.g. I could help them categorize the questions that they always have problem with.
Then you will be able to easily solve any maths problem quicker than before. Also, I will encourage students to realize their weakness and build up their confidence gradually.
I was born and educated in a seaside city in China before I was 18. Whilst I was studying full-time in a Chinese high school, I studied for A-Level exams part-time on weekends and finally obtained Chinese Secondary School Diploma as well as A-Level Certification with good grades. Now I am doing my undergraduate maths degree at Imperial College London. In my spare time, I enrich my teaching experience by working as a STEM Activity Mentor in Imperial College and tutoring maths weekly in Lambeth Academy. Plus, I taught a Year 9 girl Mandarin for three months.
I did four Edexcel A-levels in Qingdao Pennon Foreign Language School and achieved good grades as follows: Mathematics (A*), Further Mathematics (A*), Physics (A), Chemistry (A). I got full marks in Core Maths 1&2 and Statistics 1&2. I expect to get a 2:1 in BSc Mathematics with Statistics for Finance at Imperial College.
I did Oxford University MAT and was shortlisted to be interviewed.
I’ve been trying to learn to ride a bicycle since I was 10 but have never managed to do it!
