I have always been interested in sharing knowledge, and making it exciting, I see this as key to being a successful tutor and it is an idea that I go back to when tutoring my students, whatever stage they’re at. If a student is really excited and engaged by a subject they are so much more likely to do well in it, so I try to help all my students find their own way in. A key part of this is ensuring that they feel confident in their own abilities, and I seek to foster this with every one of my students.
I am a positive, active and approachable person and I really enjoy meeting and getting to know my students. By connecting with them on a personal level - whether that’s through their interests or hobbies - I feel I am able to tailor our sessions in a way that helps them really get the most out of them.
I have tutored A Level geography, English literature and government and politics. I have also worked with students on school and university applications, and on exam technique and essay writing. I have experience teaching small groups and one-on-one.
