I am really fascinated by the different styles in which different people learn, so I love to tailor my tutoring sessions to the student. My favourite part of tutoring is that ‘click’ moment, when someone suddenly gets a concept that you’ve been grappling with for a while: that’s what I’m aiming for the whole time. I also like to make lessons fun – it’s the best way of getting people enthusiastic about the subject!
I’ve had over 5 years of experience in private tutoring, with a strong focus on Maths and Physics. I’ve taught Maths and Further Maths GCSE and A-Levels, and Physics at AS and A2 standards. I’ve worked with curricula from a variety of different boards, including AQA, Edexcel, MEI and OCR.
I also spent 2 months in the summer of 2014 at an academy in India for children from socio-economically deprived backgrounds. At the campus near Delhi, I took classes on Philosophy, French, Maths and Physics. I also ran workshops on debating and coached a number of sessions of rugby.
