Every student’s needs are different, and my tuition reflects that. The key thing in all cases is to have a dialogue with the student, both in order to pinpoint the focus of the teaching as we begin and as a way to expand the students’ ideas and interest in the subject.
I was tutored myself as a teenager and the best tutors provided me not only with the skills to excel in my exams, but also with a long-lasting passion for their subject. I individually tailor each class to the student’s character to get them looking at the subject not as a hurdle to overcome but as an exciting and inspiring world to explore.
I spent most of the last academic year tutoring English as a foreign language in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I made individually tailored lesson plans to suit the needs and interests of each student for each lesson, and taught full 30+ hour weeks one-on-one to a variety of ages in schools and homes all over the city.

As a teenager I lived next door to author Nick Hornby. Around the time of my GCSEs and A-Levels I’d try to draw him into conversations about literature as I thought it would help, but he only ever wanted to talk about football!
