I believe one-on-one tutoring can be a fantastic experience for a student to get the extra educational support they deserve. Every lesson is created for each individual pupil’s needs, and I try to make the lessons as engaging as possible. It is important that not only knowledge is being built up during these sessions, but confidence too.
As a person I am out-going, approachable and positive. By treating initial lessons as a diagnostic exercise, I can work out a long-term structure for the development of my students and then revise accordingly each week. I always make sure to take a special interest in the personal hobbies and ambitions of students so I can tailor my approach to tutoring.
I have been tutoring part-time since 2010. I have successfully prepared children and young people for UK entrance exams and UK national exams (GCSE and A-Level).
I currently work in the House of Commons, Westminster for a Member of Parliament.
I have previously worked as a Youth Mentor for a number of charities working with young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
