As a relatively younger Tutor I believe that I am able to relate to student life and student mentality when approaching examinations. I try to understand their motivations and interests and try to tailor make my teaching style and content with examples that they are able to relate to. I keep my lessons as contemporary as possible and find a good balance between theory and question work. Lessons are full of hard work but are relaxed in terms of approach to ensure that the student is never intimidated in their teaching environment. I believe it is vital to that the student is able to express himself or herself as clearly as possible to improve communication with myself so that we are able to solve any problems and build upon any strengths.
I have been teaching independently for the last 8 years
I have been a Private Tutor for Regent Independent College in Harrow
I was previously the Head of Economics and Business Studies at Regent College for 2011/2012

"I needed to raise one of my Economics A level modules from a C to secure an A overall. I had a series of 10 lessons with Basit in the week before the exam. His approach was very practical and exam focused and helped me secure an A in Economics and get into my first choice University (Newcastle Upon Tyne)."

"I was in dire need of help after getting a U in edexcel unit 3 economics, 3weeks before my exam I had 3 sessions a week with Basit, he was very accommodating and went above and beyond what was expected of a tutor, always on hand to answer queries via email. With his help I was able to get my grade up to a B!!!!!!! despite unit 3 supposedly being the hardest unit I was able to get the necessary grade with Basit's help. THANKS BASIT"
