My Passion & How I Inspire

I use a lot of real-life examples to put theory into context and encourage the tutee to do the same to demonstrate understanding. I find that if the tutee starts to be able to make these real-life connections, their learning doesn’t just stop in our sessions, but carries on in their everyday life.

I don’t gloss over topics but instead ensure that the tutee is solid before moving on, and then revisit topics at the start of future lessons to reinforce understanding and decide if we need to do further work on said topic. I tend to take a very patient and personal approach to put the tutee at ease, as I believe this produces best results. I’m also happy to work on more basic mathematical and English skills if required, to support the tutee’s progression and communication skills in Business Studies.

My Experience

I’ve been tutoring Business Studies to multiple students for the past 4 years, starting when I was studying at the London School of Economics. I’m also an alumni of the New Entrepreneurs Foundation, have 2.5 years experience of working for one of the UK’s leading online retailers and am now running my own start up business.

Fun fact

In 2014 I spent time in Khartoum, Sudan with the British Council promoting entrepreneurship and working with the finalists of a ‘Dragons’ Den’ style competition. I’m also scared of roller coasters!
