My Experience
I have had over twenty years’ experience of teaching science in secondary schools and tutoring from KS3 to A level. I am an outstanding teacher and practitioner and currently Director of Science in a school in Luton. I am also on a Future Leaders course training to be a Head Teacher.
The impact that I have had on student progress and achievement has been outstanding. In 2018 my GCSE Chemistry class achieved the highest results in the school with all students obtaining grade 8 or 9.
In 2019 my Combined Science students achieved at least one or two grades above their target grades in GCSE Science.
Between 2015 and 2017 I secured three years of outstanding Science results for a school in Hounslow and in 2016 results were the highest in the school’s history.
I have taught A level Chemistry and supported hundreds of students in obtaining university places at Oxbridge and Russell Group universities.
I have experience of teaching OCR, AQA and Edexcel exam boards for GCSE Sciences and A level Chemistry.
I have been an AQA GCSE Science examiner for the last three years so I know exactly what examiners are looking for. This provides me with an insight into the marking criteria for exam boards.
In addition to these numerical achievements my reputation as an excellent Head of Science has spread with parents moving their children to my school to benefit from the high-quality teaching.
