In secondary school I had an amazing geography teacher. While I was in his class my grades jumped up dramatically, boosting my GCSE geography grade all the way up to an A*. This is because he had such passion and enthusiasm for the subject and he easily conveyed that to us. This enthusiasm made studying and learning fun and exciting. I wish to follow in his footsteps. I have a passion for the natural world and explaining it through the use of Sciences and Maths. I try to wave this into each and every one of my lessons making learning an interesting experience.
Each child is individual, and I find great importance in working in harmony with the child’s individual thinking style. I encourage students to explain to me their thought processes for all problems, through speech, notes and diagrams. This leaves the students with a methodical way of thinking about problems that is unique to them and can be applied again and again.
