Over the past ten years, I have acted as an English teacher in schools, study centres and with private clients. I have acted as Head of English in a private English school in Thailand which followed a British curriculum. I oversaw all English tuition for the secondary school, acted as invigilator during GCSE examinations and ran the after school poetry club.
I have focused a lot of my private tuition on entrance exams and Common Entrance and have helped students prepare for exams who have been awarded places at the following schools:
Whitgift 6th form (16+)
Hampton Boys (13+)
Tiffin School for Girls (11+)
Guildford High for Girls )11+)
King`s School and College, Wimbledon (7+, 11+)
My other focus is on GCSE English Literature and Language where I continue to tutor students both face to face and online. I am very familiar with the AQA and Edexcel examination syllabus.
English As A Second Language
I am a qualified English Language tutor. Since 2009 I have taught hundreds of students ranging from primary up to adults and influential businessmen. I have taught in a range of study centres and 1-1 environments and have developed and nurtured by tutoring skills to accommodate all ages and levels.
I am extremely familiar with the ESL examination, particularly IELTS where I have even created my own pack of resources.
I have acted as a private English tutor for a number of influential and high profile clients which has involved travelling the world, preparing clients for important meetings and being at their service at any given moment.
As an actor, I have toured the UK delivering PSHE lessons through TIE (Theatre in Education). I have delivered workshops to entire year groups from Year 5 up to Year 13 covering topics like bullying, change, puberty, sex and relationships, addiction, consent and mental health. Delivering these workshops over a period of 3 years has given me a huge insight into the issues facing young people today and has consequently allowed me to become an extremely adaptable and relatable tutor for teenagers.

My Passion And How I Inspire
From an early age, I have always loved reading and writing stories. Throughout school, English and Drama were always my most passionate and skilled subjects as both of them encouraged me to be creative and express myself.
Outside of tutoring I am a professional writer and actor. Writing has always been a passion and hobby of mine and I am fortunate to be in a position where I can write as part of my living. I have written five plays which have toured the UK and transferred to America. I have just finished my fourth play, working on my fifth and developing further projects for TV and film. I fell in love with writing and English language as a form of expression. I firmly believe that stories have the potential to transform people`s lives, instigate conversation and change the world. I have been so affected by poems, plays and stories in the past that it’s made me realise how powerful and profound language can be. It is this passion for language which drives my tuition and lessons.
My work has been staged and broadcast in the UK and America and has been featured on BBC Radio 2 and XFM.
My passion for writing and the English language goes beyond the classroom and I believe that this creativity and enthusiasm flows into my classes and interaction with the students.
For the past five years, I have focused solely on private tuition on 1-1 clients. Whilst I have enjoyed my time spent teaching in classrooms, I find the personal journey that you embark on with a student as they improve their skills, particularly English, is extremely rewarding and exciting. Personally, all elements of English come down to the ability to express yourself and communicate with confidence, and it is an extremely humbling experience to witness student develop and grow as their communication skills improve.
I have performed at music festivals with Ed Sheeran!
