My Passion & How I Inspire

Having been raised in several countries around the world (Poland, Indonesia, Sweden, Belgium, Ethiopia, FYROM and Greece), I have seen countries struggling to overcome historical legacies of communism, colonialism or civil war, as governments try to chart a better future for their citizens. This has played a key role in developing my passion for the study of law and politics, particularly in terms of how they interrelate and the manner in which they dictate how societies are governed and interact with each other.

My lessons are completely structured around the needs of the student in order to ensure that they can find inspiration in their studies. My sessions will begin with the student outlining the goals they are striving to achieve and where they need help achieving it. I will then explain how I can help them reach their goals and we will work together on areas which the student is struggling with or feels less confident, so that they can develop their skills and knowledge and become more at ease with the subject.

My Experience

I am a Masters student currently studying Defence, Development and Diplomacy at the University of Durham. I have a background in Law and Politics having recently graduated from the University of Kent with a First Class Double Honours degree in these subjects. I am confident tutoring in Law, Politics and International Relations at university and secondary school level, and am familiar with exam boards across the UK as well as the International Baccalaureate.

I also have professional experience working with NGOs. I have spent time volunteering with Metadrasi, an UNHCR funded NGO in Lesvos, Greece, to facilitate, integrate and provide education to unaccompanied refugee minors. In addition, I recently completed a two month internship at Habitat for Humanity International, based in Bangkok, where I assisted in organising the Asia Pacific Housing Forum 2019.

As a Masters student I have a flexible working schedule and am always looking to work with new tutees!
