My Passion & How I Inspire

My confidence in planning and delivering well-structured, effective and engaging lessons, which meet the needs of the child, has increased with each student. I am confident in differentiating my lessons across a wide spectrum of abilities and learning styles. By making my lessons fun and engaging, as well as lots of active participation in learning, I strive to ensure that my students make maximum progress during our sessions. This requires high levels of both organisation and time management; two attributes I have strengthened over the years.

Over the years, I have learnt that high expectations of all children are needed in order to help them develop both socially and academically. Furthermore, I weight great importance on child-centered learning and the necessity to remember that learning and teaching starts from where the child is. I have seen how, through the effective use of child reflection and feedback, children can progress rapidly. This comes from setting clear learning objectives, accessible targets and building on prior learning and attainment.

I am an energetic and outgoing teacher who takes pride in planning and delivering excellent lessons that are creative and engaging. I believe that it is fundamental for children to enjoy their learning experience so as to achieve the greatest outcomes. Therefore I aim to make my lessons fun, tailored to the child’s interests and thought provoking. Some of the key elements that I bring to teaching are my wide range of personal qualities. Always carrying with me a positive attitude to life and sense of humour. My energy and enthusiasm is infectious and motivates children of all ages to strive to be the best they can be. In addition, my creativity and versatility is used to inspire and challenge the children’s thinking, as well as using my patience and use of praise to support and scaffold all children.
